Did you know that Golm is a responsible ski resort? And that’s not all: The adventure mountain is known as the most sustainable leisure area of the Alps – both in summer and in winter. This makes Golm the go-to place for all those who care about the environment as much as we do. After all, nature is the stage for your most stunning hiking and skiing moments in the Montafon valley.
As a responsible tourism enterprise of the Alps, we offer year-round mountain adventures for families and nature lovers.

It is up to all of us to make a joint contribution to protecting and preserving our environment. And because life consists of give and take, we are giving you the chance to make your vacation at Golm climate-friendly and sustainable. Now it's your turn - get to know your options and spend your vacation in harmony with nature! One thing is certain: it will reward you handsomely.
Sustainability goals
#1 Reduce our greenhouse gas emissions by 77% by 2030 (base year: 2016/17). Until now (2025), we have already reduced our greenhouse gas emissions by 60%.
#2 Consistent promotion of e-mobility
#3 Ongoing increase in energy efficiency
Climate change
Why are concrete sustainability goals so important to us at Golm? Quite simply, if we do not actively combat climate change, we will not only face a significant rise in temperature and fewer frost days in winter.
We also have to expect less snow and more extreme weather events such as heavy rainfall and droughts. This will have a significant impact on how the flora and fauna in our region develop. And, of course, on whether and how we can organize our summer and winter vacations in the mountains in the future.
Climate protection
It is up to all of us to make a joint contribution to protecting and preserving our environment. At Golm, we try to do this in concrete terms by keeping our greenhouse gas emissions as low as possible.
We also want to give you the chance to make your vacation at Golm climate-friendly and sustainable. Get to know your options and spend your vacation in harmony with nature! One thing is certain: it will reward you handsomely.

Our contribution
Winter Sports
On a standard ski day, a guest produces more than seven times as many greenhouse gas emissions as on an ecological ski day. One of many reasons why we have been actively committed to climate protection at Golm since 2018.
We have also launched the "Nature-friendly winter sports in the Montafon" project together with various interest groups. The aim: to combine off-piste winter sports with the protection of natural habitats.
Snow Management
At first glance, the snow under your skis on the dream slopes on the Golm is just snow. Behind it, however, is a sophisticated snow management system. It covers the following areas
Slope construction and slope preparation,
technical equipment and placement of snow cannons, as well as
snow depth measurement and control.
The fascinating thing about it: thanks to our detailed snow forecast, we can tell you exactly how much snow there is in the ski area at any given time. As a result, our snow groomer drivers and technical snowmaking systems work particularly efficiently. This is because our snow cannons only produce snow where it is really needed - so that you can enjoy every turn on the slopes to the maximum.
Do you want to know how our snow is made, why our technical snowmaking is environmentally friendly and sustainable, and what Lake Luene has to do with it?
Do you want to travel in a climate-friendly way? We support you - you have two options:
Drive an e-car and save CO2e. Your advantage: With us, you can charge your electric car at one of 18 e-charging stations while you ski, hike or simply enjoy life.
Use public transport and benefit twice from the Green Ticket. What is the Green Ticket? Your day ticket for the Erlebnisberg Golm and your bus and train ticket at the same time. In other words: the most climate-friendly and advantageous way to reach the natural paradise. Good to know: You will receive the Green Ticket when traveling by public transport from Vorarlberg, St. Anton (Tyrol), Lindau (Germany) or Buchs / St. Margrethen (Switzerland).
Reusable packaging and large containers instead of plastic
Biodegradable cleaning agents with the EU Ecolabel
Expansion of the range of vegan and vegetarian dishes
Cooperation with regional suppliers
Speaking of regionality. The Grüneck panorama restaurant is a prime example of sustainability. You can expect a wide range of regional and healthy dishes, a cozy sun terrace and not to forget: a unique view.
The Golm is powered by 100 percent green electricity. This is climate-friendly and makes us less dependent on fossil fuels. Further measures for "clean" energy:
The world's first photovoltaic chairlift With the Hüttenkopfbahn, one in three guests rides on the power of the sun.
The power of water Our ingenious drainage system collects the water from our snowmaking system in winter and uses it to generate electricity from hydropower.
Intelligent energy management We record all energy flows in the ski area and thus continuously increase efficiency.
Ahead of its time. The workplace of the future is one thing above all else: sustainable, flexible and resource-friendly. We also try to offer this to our employees. We have therefore opted for numerous benefits that are good for both our colleagues and the environment:
Introduction of the 4-day week
private use of our electric vehicle fleet and charging of private electric cars at the workplace
Climate-friendly travel on business trips by train or electric car
Regional and fresh lunch in our company restaurant
Modern and resource-conserving workplaces
By the way: we also make sure to stay true to our sustainability goals at our events and company celebrations - out of love for nature!
